National Legal Aid and Defender Association (NLADA) Racial Justice Initiative

Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law: Racial Justice Training Institute
The RJTI is a groundbreaking national leadership program, rooted in a commitment to race-equity as an integral and essential part of anti-poverty advocacy. As of 2016, RJTI has cultivated a network of 119 advocates from 59 organizations in 22 states.
Seattle Race & Social Justice Initiative
The City of Seattle’s effort to eliminate racial disparities and achieve racial equity in Seattle programs and offices. The site includes information on RSJI efforts as well as training resources and organizational toolkits, such as the Inclusive Outreach and Public Engagement Guide.
City of Seattle Racial Equity Fund
The Seattle City Council has approved funding in the Seattle Office for Civil Rights budget for grants to Seattle’s community-based organizations to build capacity in the community to address structural racism. In 2015/16 the budgeted amount from the OCR and the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture was $75,000.
Washington State Bar Association
Through its commitment to diversity and inclusion within the legal profession, WSBA created a Diversity and Inclusion Plan, and has released several publications, including the 2015 Diversity Annual Report, the 2015 Diversity Research Project.
